So, what do you need in order to do a Fine Art Session?
A somewhat cooperative animal (food, props & noises are great for encouraging poses and getting their attention!)
A shed with a wide entrance and which is dark inside: My favourite way to take Fine Art portraits is in the entrance to a shed/stable block/indoor arena. The animal stands in the the doorway facing outwards. This way, the indoor area behind the animal creates a naturally darkened background and the outdoor natural light brightens up the animals face. Doing this makes it much much easier to blackout the background and make the image look naturally shadowy!
